Solène is French born, world raised.
As our hungry young intermediate talent Solène already has some pretty impressive global design experience under her belt. From the completion of her Master of Design at the L'École de Design Nantes Atlantique in France she soon moved country to gain wider experience. After a stint in the UK she realised NZ had the combination of travel buzz and design pedigree to build her career.
Starting as an Intern with Brogen Averill (who she says taught her everything she knows) straight out of design school, she then moved on to some other impressive NZ studios and projects. From the rigours of advertising at Consortium to highly creative projects at Weekdays, she went on to some exciting in-house design projects with the likes of Powershop and Wellington City Council. She has built up a varied portfolio of stunning brand and digital projects along the way.
Solène has a bright and curious nature, and like most of the Herrings, she is a traveller at heart. Having a dad for a pilot might have had something to do with that but whatever the reason, she is driven and determined to build great life experiences that feed into an even greater passion for clever and considered design. She is now living back in France but kindly working for us from time to time!
